COULOMB 6.1 3D electrostatic design and simulation
software from Integrated Engineering Software, Winnipeg, Canada,
features new menus, tools, and commands for designing and analyzing
electronic equipment and components. Applications include transmission
lines, high-voltage insulators and bushings, micro-electromechanical
systems (MEMS), cables and connectors, and electrodes. New features
include a variable surface transparency setting that allows users
to view a model at different levels of transparency. Improved healing
commands enable small coordinates to be automatically healed, converting
points in the geometry that are numerically zero to be exactly
zero. A multiphysics material editor allows the definition of magnetic,
electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties.
