NEiWorks
CAD-based analysis software from Noran Engineering, Westminster,
CA, is fully integrated within the SolidWorks(r) 3D modeling environment,
and can work with any Nastran FE solver, including NEiNastran, NX/NASTRAN,
or MSC.Nastran. The tool provides SolidWorks users with embedded
finite element modeling capabilities, including an automatic mesh
updating feature when geometry changes are made. All loads and boundary
conditions, along with material and element properties, are associated
directly with the geometry. Other capabilities include linear static
analysis, natural frequencies and mode shapes, inertial relief,
buckling analysis, various material properties, 2D shell and 3D
solid element libraries, OpenGL graphics, and mass properties analysis.
