ANSYS, Inc. and DatapointLabs Form Partnership SOUTHPOINTE, PA, Jan. 18 -- ANSYS, Inc., a provider of advanced CAE software, has announced a partnership with DatapointLabs, developer of TestPaks, material properties for CAE analysis in the plastics-design community. With this partnership, DatapointLabs becomes the newest member of ANSYS Inc.'s Enhanced Solution Partner (ESP) Program, a strategic initiative that allows companies with specialized software packages to integrate their products and marketing efforts with the ANSYS suite of simulation software. DatapointLabs will now be able to distribute TestPaks within the ANSYS analysis environment. According to ANSYS Inc., the high-end capabilities of ANSYS can be more fully utilized with the availability of nonlinear material properties from DatapointLabs. By collaborating with ANSYS, DatapointLabs has learned how materials are approximated within the ANSYS environment and what types of data are required to perform these simulations. As a result, DatapointLabs can create "virtual materials" for engineers to seamlessly load into ANSYS. "It's the open architecture of ANSYS that allows ESP members to create custom-built products that harness the broad range of ANSYS capabilities," said Aileen O'Leary, partner program manager, ANSYS, Inc. "Once a product like TestPaks is integrated with the ANSYS program, users gain access to additional specialized capabilities from within the ANSYS simulation system and take full advantage of ANSYS nonlinear capabilities."
