Product of the Year Awards Presented in Chicago
The NASA Tech Briefs 2001 Readers' Choice Product of the
Year Awards were presented last night at a special reception
at the Signature Room of the John Hancock Center in Chicago,
in conjunction with the kick-off of National Manufacturing
Week.
The Gold Winner for Product of the Year was awarded to VX
Corporation of Palm Bay, FL, for its VX CAD/CAM Version
5 design software. The software integrates product design
and manufacturing to eliminate the gap between CAD and CAM
packages.
The Silver Award went to MathSoft
Engineering & Education of Cambridge, MA, for Mathcad®
Client, which allows sharing and collaborating on Mathcad-created
content across the Internet or via corporate extranets or
intranets.
The winner of the Bronze Award was National
Instruments of Austin, TX, for its Measurement Studio
6.0 software that lets users create test, measurement, and
control applications in various programming languages.
The Seventh Annual Readers' Choice Award winners were chosen
by the readers of NASA Tech Briefs from 12 nominated Products
of the Month selected during 2001. Each month, the editors
of NTB choose a Product of the Month that features exceptional
technical merit and practical value to our more than 195,000
engineering and management readers.
The 12 finalists also included OMEGA
Engineering, Wavetek
Meterman Test Tools, think3,
ifm efector, Vistagy,
Wolfram Research, iOtech,
Dolch Computer Systems,
and Mountz.
