Actify, San Francisco, CA, has introduced SpinFire
Professional 2004 software that provides 3D and 2D CAD visualization
capabilities without requiring a CAD system. It enables access
to, communication, and distribution of multiple CAD formats throughout
the enterprise and supply chain in a secure and user friendly format.
The software supports files created in any major CAD format, converting
them into .3D, which is a compressed CAD visualization file format.
Users can view, measure, mark-up, and share all major 2D and 3D
data formats. New features include a .3D WorkSpace capability that
enables multiple file formats to be opened in a single, viewable
2D and 3D data file; and the ability to take a 2D snapshot of a
3D model and save it. New redlining tools for 2D mark-up, new measurement
enhancements, and user-defined coordinate systems improvements
also are included.
