The ECONseries family
of mini instruments for the USB bus from Data Translation, Marlboro,
MA, are supported by a new application software called GO!, which
provides an instrument panel interface with no programming. Signal
connections are made directly to the modules' built-in screw terminals,
and plug into any PC's USB port without the need for an external
power supply. The ECONseries, with the software, becomes eight mini
instruments, including an oscilloscope, chart recorder, voltmeter,
waveform generator, file viewer, digital input/output, counter/timer,
and rate generator. Users can load, analyze, and print a previously
saved Excel file in the file viewer panel, and monitor and control
up to 28 digital inputs and outputs.
