ANSYS Forms Strategic Relationship with
JAR "This agreement allows for a strategic strengthening of the core objectives of each company," said James E. Cashman III, ANSYS senior vice president of operations. "It combines the software and technology power of ANSYS with the expert industry-consulting capabilities of JAR. Our goal is to get closer to our customers and obtain further commitments for our enterprise-wide CAE solutions." ANSYS has established two new offices: ANSYS East conducts software sales, tech support, and training in eastern New England; ANSYS Minneapolis will assume the same responsibilities for the upper-Midwest territory. These ANSYS offices, utilizing existing training and sales facilities, will retain key veteran JAR employees. ANSYS has also assumed responsibility for JAR and CEC's technical-support functions. "We will continue our FEA-consulting services utilizing ANSYS software," said Mike Apostal, president of JAR. "This is the core element to our business." In their new roles, JAR and CEC will provide contract product-development, software-development, and CAD/CAE-system consulting and integration services. | |
